Presentation Guidelines

Those who have a contributed paper accepted for the program will be scheduled to speak during a 1.5-hour or 2-hour session, and will have 20 minutes of speaking time, followed by a 9-minute question-answer period.

Those who are part of a symposium that has been accepted for the program will be scheduled to speak during a 1.5-hour or 2-hour session, depending on whether the symposium includes 3 or 4 papers.  The specific format of the symposium is to be determined by the symposium organizer, but we encourage choosing a format that allows each speaker to have at least 20 minutes of speaking time.

All of the meeting rooms that have been reserved for paper and symposium sessions are equipped with a central audio-visual control system, a computer (PC), a projector, and a projection screen.

Those who have a poster accepted for the program will display their posters during an hour-long Poster Session that is tentatively scheduled for 11am to Noon on Thursday 25 June 2020.  Easels, mounting boards, and fasteners will be supplied. Given the capacity of this equipment, posters must be no larger than 84 cm in height and 59 cm in width (or 33 inches in height and 23 inches in width). Additional information about the Poster Session will be provided after the congress program has been announced.

Tips about putting together an effective conference poster can be found on this very informative page by the Philosophy of Science Association.
