How to Join

Membership in HOPOS is open to anyone. Enrollment is for a period of two years and includes a subscription to the HOPOS journal for the same period. Membership rates are:

$155 standard membership fee (including electronic access and paper copies of the journal)

$120 standard membership fee (electronic access only)

$110 student membership fee (including elecronic access and paper copies of the journal)

$75 student membership fee (electronic access only).

Am I Already a Member?

Membership in HOPOS is biennial in its cycle, requiring payment of dues every other year. Membership expires at the end of the calendar year following the payment of dues (e.g., all memberships initiated in 2012 provide benefits through the end of 2013).

To find out whether you are already a member, go to www.journals.uchicago.edu/hopos. Under “Manage my account”, click the “Log In” link in and sign in using your username and password. Email regarding your membership should arrive from “subscriptions@press.uchicago.edu”. If you cannot find the relevant email and cannot log in, contact the customer service department at subscriptions@press.uchicago.edu or by telephone at (877) 705-1878 (toll-free, U.S. and Canada) or (773) 753-3347 (International). Customer service is available Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM U.S. Central Time.
